NSE Celebrates Dr. Yetunde Aladeitan’s Elevation As Associate Professor

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abuja Branch, has proudly congratulated Engr. Dr. Yetunde Aladeitan, FNSChE, FNSE on her recent promotion as an Associate Professor of Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering.

The announcement was made via an official congratulatory message signed by the branch chairman, Engr. Ahmed A.S.Y. Kutigi, MNSE, who described the achievement as “an honour well deserved.”

Dr. Aladeitan, a distinguished scholar and professional, earned her Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the prestigious African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja. She has made impactful contributions to the field through over 15 published research works in high-impact journals, focusing on reservoir engineering, waterflood optimization, and carbon capture and storage—key areas for advancing sustainable energy practices in Nigeria and beyond.

Dr. Aladeitan’s elevation as an Associate Professor marks another major milestone in her academic journey.

Her commitment to the advancement of engineering education and sustainable development has earned her fellowships in both the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

Beyond the lecture halls, Dr. Aladeitan is a notable advocate for women in STEM. She has played critical roles in the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), serving as Technical Secretary of the Abuja Chapter from 2015 to 2017 and currently holding the position of National Technical Secretary. Her leadership also extends to the NSChE, where she chairs the Welfare Committee for the 2024 conference.

Her efforts to promote sustainable engineering practices include active participation in national and international webinars, where she emphasizes equipping engineers with the skills necessary to navigate and lead in a sustainable energy future.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Aladeitan is a wife and mother. She is married to Dr. Olanrewaju Aladeitan, and together they are raising two children.
