Dr. Usman Bello Selected for Prestigious National Digital Economy Research Study

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Dr. Abdulmalik Usman Bello, who has been selected as one of only 12 researchers nationwide for the National Research Study on the Impact of Digital Technologies on Nigeria’s Economy: Key Growth Indicators, Gaps and Future Outlook.

The strategic national study was commissioned by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and attracted an impressive 649 qualified applicants from across the country, highlighting the highly competitive nature of the selection process.

Dr. Bello will serve in the Digital Health and E-Health Sector Group, representing Nigeria’s North-Central Zone. His selection reflects both his academic excellence and his growing contribution to research and innovation in the areas of digital transformation, technology and sustainable development.

The AUST community commends Dr. Bello for this outstanding accomplishment and recognises it as a testament to the University’s commitment to advancing impactful research and national development through science, technology and innovation.
