CPDI Africa Hosts “Reparations in Public Space” Exhibit by Ifeoma Ebo in Abuja

CPDI Africa Gallery and Hub welcomes New York-based planner, artist, and activist Ifeoma Ebo for the opening of “Reparations in Public Space: Reclaiming Ancestral Intelligence.” The immersive exhibit explores public spaces as sites of healing and remembrance, using speculative design and community participation to honor ancestral wisdom. The event takes place on February 9, 2025, from 3-5 PM at the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja.
Ebo, known for her transdisciplinary work in design justice, aims to advance racial, social, and cultural reparations through her art and urban planning. The exhibit is supported by Creative Urban Alchemy LLC (CUA), a New York-based design studio dedicated to equity-centered urban design and cultural heritage.
