AUST Faculty Speaks At UN’s CSW69 Conference Advocating for Gender Equality

New York, March 11, 2025 – The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) proudly celebrates the participation of one of its esteemed faculty members, Lizzy Ulunma Asomugha as she speaks at the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
As a Faculty at the General Studies Department and Special Assistant to the AUST President on Strategy & Innovation, Lizzy Asomugha joins global leaders, policymakers, and advocates to discuss this year’s theme: “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.”
AUST, known for its commitment to fostering STEM education and empowering women in academia, takes pride in contributing to global conversations that drive sustainable change.
