AUST President Inaugurates University's Industry Advisory Board
The President of African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, Professor Azikiwe Peter Onwualu, FAS, has inaugurated the university's Industry Advisory Board with a charge to the members to bridge the gap between the academia and the industry.
Prof. Onwualu urged the members to translate the research capabilities of the university to readily made goods and services.
He further enjoined the board to ensure that old members are readmitted, curriculum improved, Commercialization of patented research works as well as facilitate funded projects between the university and the industries.
In his response, the Chairman of the board, Professor Eli Jidere Bala thanked the President for finding out time to inaugurate the board.
He pledges the board's determination to ensure the gap between the academia and the industry is bridged as well as to embark on meaningful collaboration to ensure a cordial relationship between the university and the industries.
The board is composed of the following members:-

- Dr. Vitalis Anye- Member
- Dr. Abubakar Muhammed- Member
- Dr. Kehinde Grace Samuel- Member
- Prince Obioha Atulomah - Member
- Ms. Nneoma Obimbonu- Member
- AVM Chris Chukwu ( Rtd) - Member
- Mrs Gloria Ajaegbu - Secretary.
The board will be meeting once in each quarter except on emergency cases.
