AUST President Hosts Emir of Garki

The Acting President of the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, Professor Azikiwe Peter Onwualu, FAS recently hosted the Sa'peyi of Garki, His Royal Highness, Dr. Usman Nga Kupi in his office in Abuja.

In his welcome address, the AUST President expressed his delight in hosting the traditional ruler of Garki and his entire cabinet. He thanked the Emir of Garki for the long existing relationship between the university and communities where this university was cited and called for more friendly ties as the university expands.

Professor Onwualu announced the university’s readiness to grant more job opportunities to the indigenes  as well as increase the number of scholarships for them.

Responding, the Garki traditional ruler, HRH, Dr. Usman Nga Kupi, expressed his excitement on the rapid growth of the university since its inception in 2007.

He further praised  the AUST management for the preferential treatment being given to his subjects and Abuja indigenes and urged them to keep up the good work.
