AUST Opens 2025/2026 Admission Screening Portal, Announces Available Programs

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, has officially opened its online admission screening portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement signed by the Academic Registrar, Mr. Inegbenose Osoba, the University announced that all candidates who applied for admission through the 2025 UTME/Direct Entry and selected AUST as their first choice, as well as those who wish to change their first choice to AUST, are required to participate in the screening exercise. The process is open to candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME and to Direct Entry applicants.
Applicants can complete the screening online by visiting the University’s admission portal, creating a personal account, filling out and submitting the form, after which they will receive an email notification upon completion. Candidates may also complete the process physically at the Admissions Office located in Mandela Hall on the AUST campus. The screening exercise will run until September 30, 2025.
AUST offers a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Undergraduate students can pursue degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering under the School of Computing and Information Technology; Accounting and Business Administration under the School of Administration, Business and Management Sciences; and Civil, Materials and Metallurgical, Mechanical, as well as Petroleum and Energy Resources Engineering under the School of Engineering. The University also runs a School of Foundation Studies that provides remedial admission into 100 level and JUPEB admission into 200 level, allowing candidates to proceed to AUST or other universities.
At the postgraduate level, AUST offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Computer Science and Management of Information Technology, as well as in Materials Science and Engineering and Petroleum Engineering. The Institute of Space Science and Engineering offers advanced programs in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, GIS and Geoinformatics, and Space Physics. In addition, students can pursue Public Policy and Public Administration under the School of Administration, Business and Management Sciences, and Applied Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Pure and Applied Mathematics, and Theoretical and Applied Physics under the School of Science and Science Education.
Beyond degree programs, AUST also provides Continuing Professional Development courses, professional diploma programs, and international certifications, including Cisco Networking Academy certifications and Huawei AI education programs aimed at empowering students with industry-ready skills.
