AUST Announces Postponement of the African Innovation and Investment Summit (AfricaX 2025)

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) and the African Experts for Innovation and Sustainable Development, wishe to announce the postponement of the African Innovation and Investment Summit (AfricaX 2025) originally scheduled to hold from October 27th to 29th, 2025.

The African Innovation and Investment Summit is a premier continental platform that will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academics, technologists, and development partners to foster innovation, enable investment flows, and catalyze strategic partnerships aimed at advancing sustainable development across Africa.

With the theme, “Reshaping the Future of Africa through Innovation, Investment, and Collaboration,” the Summit seeks to showcase transformative ideas and technologies in sectors such as technology and digital innovation, healthtech, clean energy, agriculture, creative industries, financial inclusion, and policy reform.

Among the high-profile personalities expected at the event are H.E. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and current Chairman of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, who is billed to chair the program, and Professor P.L.O. Lumumba, renowned Pan-African scholar as one of the keynote speakers.

In a release by the university's Head, Media Services and PR, Prince Obioha Atulomah, the postponement is to allow for enhanced coordination and wider stakeholder engagement to ensure a more impactful and inclusive summit experience as well as deliver an event that meets the expectations of its  partners, speakers, and participants across Africa and beyond.
